My first flight in an airplane was when I was in the cub scouts and our leader took a group of us up in a Cessna over Eugene, Oregon.
“We can’t get rid of our fears and worries until we start to fly with God! “Pastor Ken
What a thrill it was seeing my city turn into a small little “lego-like” town. Suddenly all big things in my life seemed so small. And the higher we climbed the more I realized even at my age that God was in control of so much more than I ever imagined.
My 3rd-grade limitations of God just got bigger! I realized God could see from Spencer Butte to Skinner Butte and from the Airport to Autzen Stadium!
I’m not a “window seat” guy now when I fly but periodically when I get assigned to see the amazing landscape of Seattle I look down and wonder again about how many times in my little world my worries, doubts, and fears do not include the God who is in control of it all!
Isaiah reminds us that He “sits above the earth” and that “all the nations in the world are but a drop in the bucket.”
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31 NLT
Here’s the deal… we can’t get rid of our fears and worries until we start to fly with God! It is not until I acknowledge God in my life, put God in control, and choose to trust in him that I can begin to see my world the way God sees it.
His airfare is free if we just trust in him! Try it!!
