Believe Anyway?

Growing up, my aunt Dorothy would always give my sister and I books to read for Christmas. I’m sure I got other stuff from her as well, but to this day I remember the Encyclopedia-like children’s books that were waiting for us under the tree! My favorite author by far was Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish author who wrote fairy tales that many know today because they show up on Disney.

Some scientists fill gaps with assumptions that are not proven to make or support their case. So like this story, they convince people to believe a false premise anyway! Ken Mitchell
My favorite story is about a king who was convinced by two scoundrels that the most beautiful most expensive cloth in the world was invisible! They also stated that anyone who couldn’t see the clothes didn’t have enough faith! The king bought into the lie and had his clothes made out of this “unique” material. Everyone believed except for one boy! He stated out loud what everybody felt in their heart: “The king has no clothes!”

Some scientists fill gaps with assumptions that are not proven to make or support their case. So like this story, they convince people to believe a false premise anyway! No DNA evidence that man came from monkeys? Believe anyway! A theory that goes against First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics? Believe anyway. Flawed fossil evidence? Believe anyway. An unproved multi-universe, and aliens? Believe anyway!

“We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.”1 John 1:1 NLT
After hundreds of hours of lectures, reading and science fairy tales, finally it takes what we know all along in the first place! There is a first cause, there is a Creator who delicately designed an amazing universe, and there is a God-man Jesus who came, lived and died for you! Based on fairy tale?! No! Based on evidence. Internal evidence, external evidence, and testimonial evidence all abound in the proof of God. Don’t believe anyway; rather, believe as Jesus said: “what you see, what you know, what you hear!” Believe Jesus!

Thanks for hanging with us… and make sure to join us this Sunday for the beginning of an entire series about Jesus!

God Bless
