Storytellers
The encouragement this week is to “normalize spiritual conversations” with those around us. Encourage people to share stories, pray for neighbors, co-workers and family members to come to faith in Jesus.
RESPONSE Cards
Attached below is a simple pdf you can print off double sided or simply bring paper and write on both sides. “10 weeks ago, I… and Today, I”. Feel free to let them explain beyond those constraints. Give time in your group for them to reflect this week or some groups will introduce the idea this week and do it as a group in your final week together as part of your celebration.
Rooted Celebration
The book and video leads us in direction of a group celebration with baptism and testimonies on a separate night. We are not doing that, but instead want to share testimonies and baptism with the broader church family. Celebration is important and we encourage you to make your final night together one of celebration, fun and if possible over a meal to remember the good things Jesus has done.
Baptism Sign Up
Ask you group directly if anyone wants to be baptized. If yes, email right away the New Community Staff to help them get connected with the next opportunity. You can also go mync.church to Next Steps and sign up for baptism. Encourage those in your group who have not to take this step and remind them it is celebratory and as a group commit to be present when they are baptized to cheer!
