CHURCH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

At New Community it takes over 100 serve team members to make Sundays happen. Are you willing to help? Our needs are as diverse as the people who attend our services. Find out how you can get involved and serve others in our church community.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:
  • CHILDRENS MINISTRY:
Children 0-2yr: Hold babies, play with toddlers
Children 2-4yr: Greeter/Child check in, group leaders, substitute leader
Children K-5th :  Greeter/Child Check in, small group leader, substitute leader, tech support, materials prep (1-2 hours misc. tasks), office support, occasional event prep.
  • YOUTH MINISTRY (middle and high school): Small group leader, substitute leader, worship, tech, food team.
  • GROUPS: Lead a small group (training provided), Open your home to host your group (don’t have to be the leader).
  • WORSHIP: Singers for youth group worship and main service
  • TECH: Sound, lights, computers, cameras, (training provided for all these areas)
  • GREETING: Join our first impressions teams!  Welcome guests, guide new families,
  • CONNECTIONS: Join our team to help people find their best next step at church.  
  • USHER: Assist during services to help people find seats, assist with communion.
  • PARKING: Help guide cars in/out of the lots.
  • COFFEE: Coffee set up, coffee/donuts replenishment, Coffee clean up after service.
  • Service SET UP or TEAR DOWN:  Behind the scenes. Sunday service SET UP is at 6am, Tear down is after last service.  Need additional support to tear down Children’s Lookout space.  
  • PRAYER: Join a prayer team after services
  • CREATIVE: Photography, Videography, Graphics (signs, website, events)
  • COMMUNICATION and DIGITAL MARKETING: Emails, Social Media
  • FACILITIES: Help with indoor and outdoor maintenance around the property. Do you have special handyman, or professional skills that could be put to use?
  • WOMEN’S MINISTRY: Get involved with women’s events.
  • MEN’S MINISTRY, :Get involved with monthly men’s breakfasts and events.
  • James Brigade: Join one of our serve teams that meets monthly to assist widows around their homes.
  • CARE: Check on people that are ill, surgeries, create Meal Train for families.
